Indications for use
Active immunisation of cats:
− to reduce mortality, clinical signs and virus excretion caused by infection with feline herpesvirus (FHV) type 1 (feline rhinotracheitis virus);
− to reduce clinical signs and virus excretion caused by infection with feline calicivirus (FCV).
Onset of immunity: 1 week.
Duration of immunity: FHV type 1 and FCV: 1 year after primary vaccination, 3 years after revaccination.
Contraindications
None.

Vaccinate healthy animals only.
Special precautions for use
The presence of maternally derived antibodies may interfere with the efficacy of the vaccine.
Vaccinated cats may excrete the feline herpesvirus and feline calicivirus vaccine strains from the respiratory tract for fourteen days following vaccination. The viruses can spread to other cats, but without causing clinical signs of disease.

1 0.5 - 2 cm in diameter, diffuse, hard or soft, and can be painful, lasting for 1 day.
2 ≥ 39.7 °C lasting for 1 day.
3 Can occur in kittens, as reported, after the use of any vaccine containing a feline calicivirus component. Transient.
Reporting adverse events is important. It allows continuous safety monitoring of a veterinary medicinal product. Reports should be sent, preferably via a veterinarian, to either the marketing authorisation holder or the national competent authority via the national reporting system. Use during pregnancy or lactation
Do not use during pregnancy.
Interactions
Safety and efficacy data are available which demonstrate that this vaccine can be administered on the same day but not mixed with Nobivac Rabies and/or Nobivac NXT FeLV.
No information is available on the safety and efficacy of this vaccine when used with any other veterinary medicinal product. A decision to use this vaccine before or after any other veterinary medicinal product therefore needs to be made on a case-by-case basis.
Amounts to be administered and administration route
Subcutaneous use.
Reconstitute the vial containing the lyophilisate with the supplied solvent.
Ensure that the lyophilisate is completely reconstituted before use.
Administer the total contents of the vial.
Reconstituted product: off-pink or pink-coloured suspension.
Vaccination schedule:
Primary vaccination:
Two doses.
First dose: from 8 weeks of age.
Second dose: 3-4 weeks later.
Revaccination:
A single dose, administered at up to 1 year after primary vaccination maintains protection against feline herpesvirus type 1 and feline calicivirus. For subsequent revaccinations, a single dose should be administered at intervals up to 3 years.
Overdose
Transient local swelling (up to 3 cm in diameter) at the injection site which is sometimes warm and painful and a transient rise in body temperature (up to 40.8 °C) were observed after administration of an overdose of the vaccine.
